Fred Wadler, M.B.A.
Fred Wadler joined the Cooper Family Office with over two decades of analysis and portfolio management experience in fundamental based long-short investing in equities throughout various industries across developed, emerging and frontier markets.
From 2013 through May, 2024, Mr. Wadler served as Managing Partner of Quaker Ridge Capital Management in fundamental equities analysis and portfolio management. From 2010 to 2012, he served as a Portfolio Manager for developing markets investments at Duet Group, a London based alternative investment firm with AUM of approximately $2.8 billion. Prior to that, Fred was a Portfolio Manager from 2005 to 2009 at QVT Financial LP, a New York based multi-strategy hedge fund with $15 billion under management . From 2003 to 2005, he served as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Witmer Asset Management (Eagle Capital), where he focused on equity investing for international companies. Preceding Eagle Capital, Fred was an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Cobalt Capital, a New York based hedge fund, where he managed long and short investments in the technology, healthcare, and restaurant industries, from 1999 to 2002. From 1997 to 1999, Fred worked at Twin Capital Management LLC., a New York based alternative investment firm where he focused on event-driven and long and short equity investments.
Mr. Wadler received an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in business and liberal arts from the State University of New York at Albany (Magna Cum Laude).
Tara Jordan, Research
Tara Jordan joined the Cooper Family Office as an analyst reviewing venture, start-ups and individual emerging companies. Tara earned her BS in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of South Florida. She is a member of the Johns Hopkins University Discovery Council, the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Global Investor’s Forum and the NYU Stern School of Business Family Office Council. Tara is also instrumental in the family’s philanthropic endeavor of supporting music and art education among underprivileged students in Florida.
Alex Williamson, Research
Alex Williamson joined the Cooper Family Office as an analyst for private equity and venture capital funds. Alex studied agricultural businesses with an emphasis on financial analytics and accounting at the University of Minnesota. Previously a manufacturing associate at Gemini Athletic Wear, Alex specializes in start-ups in manufacturing, farming, and agriculture as well as investments in natural resources. He is an active member of the Stanford University Global Projects Center Investor’s Forum and the NYU Stern School of Business Family Office Council.
