Ronen Schwartzman, MBA, Chief Investment Officer

Ronen Schwartzman joined the Cooper Family Office as Chief Investment Officer with 20 years of investment and capital markets experience. He started his career as an equity analyst with Oppenheimer where he covered small cap technology stocks. After receiving his MBA from the Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania, Ronen joined Bear Stearns, where he managed equity and fixed income portfolios for individuals and corporations, and also advised institutional investors on various capital markets investments. Ronen specialized in investing in alternative assets such as hedge funds, private credit, private equity, and real estate. A former Special Operations Intelligence Officer in the Israeli Air Force, Ronen is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew. Ronen is often quoted in The Economist, Reuters and Bloomberg News. A guest lecturer at The Wharton School and NYU Stern School of Business and a frequent speaker at industry conferences, Ronen is a noted thought leader in the hedge fund and family office communities.

Skip Cooper, Managing Director

Skip Cooper is a first-generation member of the Cooper Family Office. Skip oversees risk management, portfolio allocation and back office operations. In addition to the office’s US-based alternative investing, his primary focus for the family office is investment internationally: in private equity, hedge funds, real estate and direct opportunities. Mr. Cooper is an honors graduate of Princeton University.


Skip Cooper is a member of the NYU Stern Family Office Council and the Stanford University Global Projects Center Global Investor’s Forum. Skip speaks regularly at family office and investment conferences around the world, often addressing the topic of global investing for US family offices.

Alexandra C. Cook, DBA, CPA, CGMA, CFF, FAIA, Chief Strategy Officer

Dr. Alexandra Cook joined the Cooper Family Office with 30 years of family office leadership and consulting experience. Most recently, she was Co-Head of a single family office operating in the U.S. and Europe with a focus on venture capital.

 

Past executive roles included work supporting family offices and their operating businesses, foundations, trusts, and professional services firms by designing, re-engineering, and implementing back-office infrastructure functions: accounting & reporting, tax compliance, H/R, IT, legal, philanthropic, trustee, and other administrative services. Prior experience on the investment side included mentoring start-ups in accelerator programs, providing embedded leadership support to founders, leading diligence for direct deals in a wide range of industries, and oversight of a $100 million portfolio on behalf of Broward County, FL. Alexandra’s diverse background enables her to support multiple investment teams in the Cooper Family Office, including real estate, health care & biotechnology, and venture capital.  

 

Dr. Cook, a published researcher, has been a professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University for 25 years, offering audit, tax, non-profit accounting, cost accounting, and other content to MBA and Master of Accountancy students.  Alexandra earned a B.A. in accounting Summa Cum Laude from Palm Beach Atlantic University, from which she also earned a B.S. in management and MBA.  She has a Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University and is the holder of a Florida CPA license and numerous other professional credentials.  

 

Alexandra serves on the Young Friends Executive Committee for the Palm Beach Symphony and the Alumni Board for Palm Beach Atlantic University.  She belongs to several family office groups, and is a sought-after speaker at family office investing conferences nationally.  When not involved in professional endeavors, Alexandra is an athletic coach for the U.S. Archery Team and U.S. Air Force, working with para/adaptive athletes at international competitions.
